1dmkII,70-200 f2.8 and 1.4x.
Was REALLY impressed with the ability of the 1dMkII to focus track and in combo with the 70-200 and 1.4x mamaged some really sharp shots.

I was pretty much on the same level as he flew past and most of the sequence are more profiled. On this one, however, he/she was turning giving the illusion of being higher.

You're right. Now I've looked again. In the low part of the picture it can be seen that the bird is pretty close to the water.
But seeing this picture without his shaddow in the water ( like it was more cropped ) it sure triks you making you thing that the bird fly pretty high.
(I hope you understand, because my English is not so good)

I'm so very used to catching this pose, but never with the head up like that. Nicely done.
