A Ryan FR-1 Fireball at the Planes Of Fame Museum in Chino, CA. This may be the last example of the type in existence.

What's noteworthy about the FR-1 is that it was a "hybrid," having a piston engine in the nose and a jet in the tail. It was the first jet to qualify on carriers and the first tricycle landing gear aircraft to carrier qualify.
