View Full Version : I got to do something sooo cool last night at the Pittsburgh Penguins game!!

Tonight was fan appreciation night at the game. As soon as I sat down in my seat a lady came over and asked to see my ticket. She said I won a jersey as part of the "Shirt Off Out Back" program after the game where each player on the team gives a fan their jersey and signs it down on the ice. Unbelievable!! There were only 23 people selected out of 17,000+ in attendance. Hopefull I can take this luck with me when I go to Vegas next month ROFL!

I was just praying I wouldn't get some bum's jersey. I ended up getting Kris Letang who is our #2 defenseman behind the great Sergei Gonchar. I just missed getting Sidney Crosby or Evegni Malkin by 2 picks. doh! LOL

Are you a season ticket holder? I've heard that at the Hawks and Stars promotions, they give the shirts to season ticket holders and contact the people days before the game.

Yeah I'm a season ticket holder but I really have no idea how they selected people. I don't know if they just saw I had my season ticket holder pin on or if they drew my seat prior to me arriving and they just waited for me to arrive. They never asked me for my ID so maybe it wasn't just for season ticket holders.

Would have been funny if your seat was pre-selected and gave your tickets to a buddy, lol! (OK, well not funny, but you know..)
