Hi
I had posted this under Camera knowledge for some reason!

I seam to be think when trying to set the custom white ballance on my new 350D.
I have a light tent setup using 4 halogen-tungstun lights 150w, I have tried AWB and also the Tungstun setting but the results were poor, I have followed the instructions in the book but the results seam the same!
Anyone had any joy setting up the custom white ballance on a 350D?
Could you give me a idiots guide to setting it up PLEASE!!

Put a standard 18% grey card, or a neutral white sheet of paper (many papers are off-white or contain brighteners that can throw colour balance off) inside the light tent, with normal lighting on. Set your 350 to Tungsten and fill the central circle with the grey card (zoom or move the camera closer until this is so). Take a picture. Change the "White Balance" to custom. Then go to the menu and select Custom WB there, and scroll to your picture of the grey card. You should be good to go.

Thanks for the info,
I think that is what I did, I tried to buy a 18% grey card from Jessops my local camera shop they did not have any, Strange seeing it seams like it is popular.
I think I will have to rethink my lighting as well, I do not think it is bright enough.
