Always happens! Price reduced on the 1DMk2 (UK)

Yep, never fails, just after I buy a new camera either Canon release an updated version or the retailers reduce the price. This time it's only been a few days since I got my 1DMk2 and I see Warehouse Express have knocked 300 quid off the price, it's now £2399, lovely!

Same here in HK, I bought 350D @ USD1064.00 and 2 weeks later USD987.00 everywhere.:evil:

That happens with almost every product. I bought my VW Touareg when it first came out and paid sticker, $50,000 American Dollars.

Within months thereafter, I could have saved close to $8,000 American Dollars.

Sometimes it pays to wait, other times you want it when you want it, or need it when you need it. I prefer to look forward and not back. It makes life much easier that way.

I've been fighting off buying a 20D.. I'm going to make my 10D last until the 30D (or whatever they call it) comes out. After looking over how much it's costing to have the latest and greatest, I've decided I can wait a bit :)

Jim, you don't "have to" make yout 10d last, it'll do that all by itself with careful handling. If waiting is your thing, that's just fine and don't let anybody tell you any different. As for me, I don't worry about money. I spend it with the best of them. I like having new toys. And that's just me. Everybody is different. I've seen beautiful photos taken with D30s and D60s that people still own. In fact on the www.luminous-landscape.com (http://www.luminous-landscape.com), the opening shot was taken with the S70.

Heck, don't wait for the 30D, wait another ten years for the 50D MKXXXXX:lol:

A year a go my equipment list consisted of a 300D & the kit lens, the word "wait" is just not part of my vocabulary :) :)

Don't wait, get the latest and the best. If I wait, I will still have to wait for the MF digital back to drop the price close to a 1DsMKII and not have fun so far...:lol:
