My wife wants a simple point and shoot

What do you recommend for a simple point and shoot camera? She isnt a fan of my SLR for everyday stuff.

Im not looking to spend a fortune. If it cost $400, id rather upgrade "my camera" lol.

Im not very familiar with the point and shoot world so help me out.

A570 IS refurb is less than 80$ and it is one of the best P&S cameras ever IMO.

We just picked up the new SD780 IS. I'm still playing around with it, but so far we're happy with the photos. It's tiny, about the same size as the SD1100 we almost bought. It's very simple to use, has a nice LCD, an optical viewfinder, and takes HD video. For $250 it seems like a deal.
