You should have told the guard that camera toting terrorists take blood not donate it!

Well, you're not all bad.... You love cats.
I don't usually let myself get involved in these "rights" issues, as I have very strong opinions, not always on the poster's side.
However, you should've told the security guard a simple but firm "no" when he demanded to see your pictures. You had already received tacit permission to take them from the lady who took your blood pressure.
And after all, you were in there doing them a favor by donating your blood in the first place.
I would write or email the director of the blood bank and ask that the security guard send you a note of apology (the only way to get the idea home to such bullies is to make them respond themselves). If you don't get one, then you know just how much they really value your contribution.
There are other blood banks.

People in this country have become ridiculously paranoid, IMHO. Even if you had taken a picture of people on the bus, so what. I wish people would use their brains for something other than imagined terrorist plots. I'm going out to the store now and I'm taking my camera.
