I havent' been around much lately, but for once i got away on time from work tonight so in my quest to try and become better at landscape pics, i managed to spend a little time down near a local beauty spot... i came back with this being the best of the bunch... no cropping etc has been done other than a slight amount of shapening.
as always, comments welcome.
PS, it was a struggle to get teh file size under 100k :( so apologies if that's caused it to be hard to see the image.

That is an awesome shot! May I know the exif? I am learning how to shoot something similar in a nearby creek. Thanks.

Wow, I didn't know stopping down to f22 for a day-time shot under tree shade will create such an awesome light balance. I must try this at the creek. Thanks littlenose. I'll post my result if it turns out not too terrible. :p
Sorry, I don't know the faster way to extract the exif either. Will let u know once I find out how.

well, i'm a complete novice to this type of shot myself... i'm hoping that practice, looking at other peoples stuff and reading stuff on here will help me progress.
Godo luck down at the creek cfcRebel :)

I like this photo. It has a very nice composition with the stone path leading the eye accross the frame. Also we can see from were the river comes from and the refletion of the trees in the water is just lovely.
I'm no expert but probably the f22 wouldn't be required, though it worked really well there. What I do in a landscape is try it at f8 or f11 first for good depth of field and only close more if the exposure at ISO 100 is still not correct or if I want to capture a flow giving some effect.
The f22 here seem to have worked on giving the river a smoother feel as at 1sec the effect of the water going by gives a certain silky look.

Nice shot Mikey! I like all the soft greens and the smooth water with the reflections in it. Well composed.
