This will be the only car on the track, and will not wreck. I'd like to somehow mount this on the car this weekend. I have 2 super-clamps that are incredibly strong - the weakness will be in the stud that connects the camera to the clamp.

Any ideas what I can rig up to mount this sucker sturdy with 2 clamps? I'm fine with wrapping this up in a towel and using however many rolls of duck tape.

I'd like to cover my bases here
*mount this sturdy so there's no way it will fly off
*and have straps/pads so if it does come off, well, maybe it'll make it.

Here's the car - With all the poles, it looks promising - there are many places to attach it, and I won't have to worry about scratching paint.

We use these clamps to hold weight on a dirt modified here in PA.

If you have something similar you should be ok. I agree that the biggest issue will be the connection from the clamp to the camera.

And never say never about crashing. I've seen a two-seater sprint car flip before.
