Awesome pictures #4 FTW!
I'd just toss #3, it doesn't fit well with the other pictures, imo.

Why? It's too clean and normal? I have a few from that location too....but thanks for the comment, glad you like #4.

Very nice set, I will agree about 3. It looks like a picture of someone trying to sell it on ebay and yes, too clean and normal compared to the others in the set.
IMO #7 is a very nice rig shot, and perfectly executed.
Im on the fence about the graffiti shots, makes for alot of distracting reflections (I.E. rear quarter and below A-pillar in 2, center console in 4 and roof in 6.) Although I like the concept and location for it, I dont think such a simple looking evo works as well as some crazy graffiti inspired ride.
Other then that I love the series and I think you did excellently, And i hope to create shots like this when my photo skills better in the near future.
cheers,
-Ed
ps. clone out the white thing in the drivers door on the interior shot. :-)

While we were doing rig shots, he got a call that a cat was stuck sitting on top of a powerline. He bolted out of the car and left me there for 30 min while he saved the poor pussy. Thankfully I was able to capture right before he ripped his shirt off. >:(

Very nice series, & #7 rocks! I'd crop the container out of #1, & maybe a bit more up to the 3 red poles.

Thanks guys.
PhotosGuy, I think instead of croping it that far up. I'll just clone out the poles and crop out the trailer. I just dont like tight crops I guess.

Awesome shots! Really, awesome! - The car is amazing too!
Just a few things.
1) In photo 1, I don't like the location, because it looks silly if the car is rolling down a loading dock (but I know it's hard to do these shots on the street)
2) In photo 4, if you could clone out your head from the rear view mirror / and the just be more cautious that there are no other distractions such as the yellow towel?
The location with the graffiti makes it all the more interesting. http://forums.clubrsx.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif

Optimized, I agree with cloning my head out. That was brought to my attention in another forum, I just totally forgot to do it when I saw it in the first place. About the location, your right. It's hard to do rigs on the street, after looking at it....I should have clone out the red poles and added some motion blur to the BG.

I have 3 rigs, but for this shoot I was using 2 suction cup/aluminum pole/magic arm. Thanks for the comment on the interior shot.

Was the rig a DIY? Looking to build one.

Yes it was a DIY. I only know of one actual rig that a company sells them....but they wan $800 for it, if I remember correctly. I put about $350 in to this one....but my 2 other was just hours of welding and fabbing. All materials were supplied from my workplace.

Think about framing with more room at the front for it to "move into". Post #4 in: MOVE YOUR FEET! A <rant> of sorts. (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=536323)

If I was to crop it, yes, it would have more room in the front. I've never been a fan of more room in the rear of a car shot.

This might be a dumb question but how did you take pic #5? I can see adding the blur in photoshop but how did you get the rims to blur and the person to stay in focus.

^It's not a photoshop effect. It's a slow shutter speed while moving the car. The guy just posed for a few seconds.
My nitpick on #1 would be the clone job on the wall on the left edge of the shot. The bricks weren't lined up properly. Other than that, love the shots.

That's correct. No motion blur in photoshop at all. But being new to these shots, I can see why you thought that.
dank ink, that's very picky. But you are correct sloppy on my part.

So this picture was just taken with a camera rig? How slow was your speed on the camera to make everything blur but the guy? Also how fast was the car moving?
Thanks for your help. I love these pics and would love to be able to create something like this.

Yes the picture was taken with a rig, going about 4-5mph.
