what is the best setings for my cannon eos 400d for inside a house party I am shooting tonight I am thinging of yousing my wide angle lens wich is sigma 10-20 mm and I have attached a speedlight 430ex11 the last time I tried there was to mutch light in my photos.

I don't expect that your flash will cover the 10-22mm lens unless you plan on bouncing it. there was to mutch light in my photos. Next time, post a problem shot with the EXIF info, or camera settings included. This might help.

If there is too much light in the photos, try dialing down the Flash Exposure Compensation. Also, try taking a shot with the flash off to make sure that it isn't overexposed because of the ambient light.
