I'm buying this to give it away, so price is somewhat important. A friend gave me her Rebel XS (film) because the latch was broken. It can be fixed, but not cost-effectively. I'm hoping to find her something equivalent.

Tom, I have a Rebel 2000 with kit lens I need to get rid of. The batteries are dead in it, it should still work...

Thanks, Chris, but I ended up giving her my old Elan 7n. I couldn't find a suitable replacement in time. I still don't know why she wants a film camera, but she's done a lot for us, and I'm not going to start worrying about a few bucks here and there. Besides, I'll never use it, either.
