Its on mirror then. You can not see sensor dust through view finder.
Its should be easy to clean, but leaving it there wont hurt your pictures either, a bit irritating though.

Cleaning the camera internals involves some manual work. It depends how confident you are with doing it yourself.
If the camera is in warrenty period & there is store closeby, I would prefer them to do it.

No problem. Glad if I am of any help
I had same issue a few weeks back, I took it to canon & they cleaned the mirror in few mins.
By the way, are you sure your lens is clean ? to make sure dust is on camera internal & not on lens you can switch the lenses & see if you still see the spot in view finder, else just take our the lens, point the camera to some light source & see through the view finder. If you see dust, its in camera, else it may be your lens.

You can't see dust on the mirror through the viewfinder... Not unless they are giant chunks..
The viewfinder is a lens assembly that looks through a pentaprism (or a pentamirror) and focuses on a ground glass plate.. (This plate has the AF points (and other stuff you see superimposed on your subject etched in to it). If you take off the lens and look up at the top of the opening, you'll see it.
The reflex mirror is just too far away for the viewfinder to focus on, so you won't see any dust on the surface of it.
Any dust you do see clearly will be on the ground glass plate, AKA focusing screen. Give the focusing screen a few puffs of air from a blower... That should remove the dust.

I've cleaned dust off my mirror and off a funny panel at the top of the camera using gear I got for the copperhill method. Be very, very careful touching the mirror, it's delicate.
