Im no expert at photography, but I really like it! I have a thing for B&W. It really draws you into the picture.

It's nice but I think there's too much to look at. If it's nearby then maybe a shallower DOF so that the fence post and background trees are OOF and then the tines on the rake will fade to the background.

Thanks jbone and players. I hadn't thought about the depth of field being shallower, I just wanted to get all of the machinery in focus - thanks for the idea! I guess I couls easily clone out the fence posts.

I like that, the duotone is really subtle but obviously there. Good job!

If this were my shot, I think I'd crop (or re-take an original) to exclude the sky from the top. It's so bright here and kind of competes for attention with the subject. Or maybe take the image at a different time of day, if you could get the sun more behind you?

Will look at a retake - It's only down the road! The day was really overcast as it was, so to exclude the sky, I guess I'd have to go pretty late on.
