I was very flattered to actually be approached by the Coast Guard regarding the image titled "Every Surfer's Guardian Angel".

It's always good to see surf pictures :). I noticed that you said you were envious of the guys with 300 and 400mm glass and you have an equivalent to 560mm with your 2x tc. What were you shooting with?

I was using my 70-200 IS on the 200mm end. It worked out far better than I anticipated.

I did a timely and careful job on my write up getting excellent placement in search engine results. Somehow they found me via the search engines and a link to my site started to get circulated with in the Coast Guard. Definitely a lucky break.
