I will be posting a fair bit of baseball this season as I have been hired by one local association to photograph ~45 games this season from T-Ball through Midget (16-17). Here is the first set from a Pee Wee (11-12) game. EXIF should be embedded however all shot with 40 D and 70-200f2.8 L (some with 1.4TC), most at ISO 800 (overcast and sporadic drizzle) and either at f3.5 (no TC) or f4.5 (with TC). I should note that umps here allow on-field access so I can get some pretty great angles and locations to shoot from with no screens in the way. Post processing included bumps as needed to exposure, sharpening, tiny bit of noise and then crop to 8x10 dimension. C&C appreciated. Full set at www.cjscons.com/cafbsa/apr11

Darned left-coasters... you guys are playing baseball, and we're shovelling out from a snowstorm!

Good shots, btw!

don't you wish you could physically move people out of the background sometimes? Good shot!

Yeah but at least if you can use a decent enough DOF f2.8-f4.0 you can make them blurry and minimize their presence! And also crop as tight as you can in post to remove whatever you can!
