There are two of them apparently. Which one would be the best one for me. I am buying it mainly for macro but am sure I will use it for other things as well.

Another question. How do you connect the flash to the camera when it is on the bracket? Do you have to purchase another part to accomplish this or does the bracket come with something that accomplishes this?

I'm assuming you are talking about a Delta Flip bracket with a flexible arm and a Delta Fast Flip bracket with a rigid arm? I have the Flip bracket, and it works great for macro. The arm may start to sag after a some use, but overall, it's decent for the money. It gives you great flexibility - you can move the flash very quickly, no need to loosen and tighten anything.

You need an off-camera flash cord, like a Canon OC-E3 or the like. I know there are numerous people out there that use off-brand cords, but after dealing with two Dot-Line cords that would not work in ETTL mode, I got the genuine Canon cord. Just my $0.02
