May be you should try over exposing a bit, that will prevent jet black color in night shots.
I am still struggling with this ...
Or better to shoot right after sunset when its not too dark .. :-)

haha philadelphia isnt that bad. i even got a homeless guy to pose for a picture, my goal was to see if i could get him to stay still for 30 seconds.

but i mean, its a nice place. i got stopped by a guy asking about digital cameras, he just bought some 8 mp camera, and was pretty confused with it, so i explained the joys of shooting RAW and post processing. but all that aside, you do always have to watch your back. i was ready to hit someone with my tripod if any trouble came.

you made a homeless guy stand still for 30 secs for a picture? LOL! i hope you gave him some money or food for his troubles. and i guess love park is a relatively save area of philly at night, unlike say north or west philly (or at least west of upenn).
