Was asked to do a winterball shoot

Hey guys. I have a question. One of my friends asked me if I may be the photographer for their upcoming winterball. I really don't know where to start with this. Is there anything that I need to know about? I'm pretty sure all it is would be me taking pictures and uploading it for them later. But just need some help.

Start from the end and work backwards.... What are the deliverables? eg. prints, CD, FTP files etc. To whom are they to be delivered? Individual guests, organisers etc? Who's paying for them? Individuals, organisers, combination etc. What are the photos of - posed shots, ambient ones, candid, bands etc? Will you need special equipment or equipment you will have to buy/rent? What administration will be involved?

Without these answers, we don't currently know enough to really help you I'm afraid.
