If you report your taxes on May 15th, be prepared to pay a late-filing fee. :)

As for the rumor, I haven't a clue. Maybe the i9900 will be upgraded with a new Pixma model.

Actually if you don't owe money or have refund due to you, automatic extension is up to 15 Oct :)

Now THAT I didn't know. Doesn't matter much to me anyway - I've already gotten my $8 refund. It certainly won't help much in the world of images.

Well, we know the 15th is the new rebate offer date...

One of the items that has been on the back burner for far too long is the US release of the Canon pigment based archival inks,.. allready available in Japan,. and have been since,. what ,. July 2004?

These are BCI-6 compatible,. so all the i9100, i9900, i960, i950 etc.. and most of the new pixma printers should be able to use them.

On top of that,. as opposed to just the release of the new inks, I have had a working theory that he i9900 might even be replaced this spring.. (actually I predicted winter :( .. but that did not happen ) ...again incorporating the US release of the archival inks.

If a new wide format is released,. I do hope that rather than just an i9900 replacement,.. they start to take the larger formats more seriously with both a wider tray,. ( please? 17" maybe? 24"?? ) ...and roll paper options.

It's high time Canon take some of Epsons dominant market share in this catagory.

This would provoke me to finally buy a printer, rather than sending out for prints. I love the job that the photo shops do with printing digital images, but I'd most certainly like to be able to do the same here.

Instant gratification has its place!

If you wait . . . something better will always come out. So just wait and put your cash into CD's or such.

I am sure the photographs you 'could' have taken would have been poor ones anyway, Also you would not have had a good time doing the shoot. Best to stay home and watch the 'web' for news of the next great thing. And stay close to that monitor, lcd, etc, et al because the "NEXT" great thing will be released on the 15th.

I haven't followed the print wars in a while. But it seems that shortly after any othe manufacturer comes out with a great printer, Epson comes out with a new printer that raises the bar on the printer standard...
