Great shot. You'll see that if/when you post a fire picture, fire fighters will pick it apart. Not the picture but the people. It appears that the driver did not put his seat belt on! Thats a write up! The picture is great, sharp and very well done. Good job. post more! Fire truck pictures NEVER get old.

Yes you are correct but at least he has his safety vest for being on the road!!!

Each State is different so it depends on what that state requires.

Luckily for the drivers of the cars involved in the accident the firehouse was about 3 blocks down the street. I seriously doubt they even got the engine up to speed by the time they pulled up to the scene.

I was thinking of printing a few copies of this to drop by the firehouse. I thought some of the guys might like to take a picture of their truck home to the kids. Think the guys would be cool with that?

We don't even require plates on our firetrucks or squads.

YES, one thing i always tell folks is ANY pictures you get will be loved at the fire house. Weither it is a fire picture or of a truck like this one. As for me I dont have time on scene to take pictures. I'd love to, but for some reason people tend to think you should be doing something to put the fire out, not walking around looking for a good shot.

So YES please, take ANY fire related pictures to the house. Besides, if they get to know you, (Hey thats the person that brings us pictures, let them around the tape so they can get a better view) you are likely to get better places to take pictures. What I mean is you might get pictures from the "hot side" of the fire tape. Just be safe, and wear the freaking seat belt, set the example.

DL -- love the color. Since you are ok with image editing--- I have been on a HDR roll this week and thought I would do a VERY quick edit and HDR treatment to your photo:

LOL.. The OP & Radal are both from Florida. So, that creates a bit of a dilemma, with your statement.
