I did this shoot a couple of weeks ago....this little handsome man is 6 months old and was so cooperative. I have a Canon 30d and used a 50mm lens. C&C appreciated and welcomed....so are any plays. TIA!

Kimmy, this is what I usually do:
What I did was mask his eyes out in PS...saved the selection. With his eyes selected I added an adjustment curve layer and lightened them up a little. Then with his eyes selected again I add another adjustment color balance layer. I adjust the eye color depending on the color of the child's eyes until I like what I see.
I may adjust the opacity of this layer depending on how it looks. I also sometimes select the eyes on the original layer and sharpen.
One more thing I also do is take the dodge tool at a very low opacity like 9-12% and run it over the eyes until I like the way it looks.

Thank you very much for sharing your techinques. I'm going to give it a try. My daughter has dark brown eyes and I find it difficult to make her eyes pop.

aw such a cute baby :D#3 picture looks great and cute, look at the eyes wow ! i wish i can picture my baby just like that.
