These shots were taking from Eastbourne Pier in the UK. The RNLI crew looked as if they were training a new rookie member. At one point he didn't have the strength to drag one of his crewmates aboard, poor chap. Couple more available in my Flickr if you wish.
All taken with 1D Mark III and 100-400L in AI-Servo after latest Canon recall.
Critique most welcome. Enjoy.

#3 really stands out - the angle of the shot and the water splashing. Nice work.

Nice shots.
No wonder he could hardly get them into the boat, they all look as though they are over 300lbs each! If he can save them, he can save anyone!
BTW, I always give to the RNLI. Looks as though some of it has been spent on a few Easter Eggs! :-)

:D Thanks for the comment, Ben. The poor lad did struggle and needed some help :D I bet lots of tourists and photographers watching him didn't help :D

I'm going to send these to the RNLI to see if they can pass them onto the lads :)

Nice shots there. My hat is off to the men and women that train and prepare for these real emergencies.
