I'm going to be buying a 6MDH and was wondering if someone could help me out with choosing the correct size for a Bundle with it.

I want to be able to carry an additional lens (or other items, depending) with me and was looking at the Med Bundle. I have a Canon 100mm macro that is 14cmH x 7-8cm in diametre (with and without hood). Based on the website the Med might 'just' be big enough to fit the macro or my sigma wide angle (without the hood). Does anyone know for sure?? I also think the Large Bundle would be overkill for the lens and for the bag.

I am deliberately not getting the 7MDH because I don't want to carry it around and I'm petite. Being able to add additional space only when needed would be best for me but I kind of want to make sure the macro will fit. If anyone has that lens (or something similar) and the med bundle, could you try it out for me? Pics would be great, if possible.

I'm also thinking of a Thirsty for my sunglasses but I'm not sure if they are tall enough. I don't have a local store that carries the selection of Crumpler bags so I'm going on the basic dimensions and the generous help of POTN members. :D

May be you need to buy the 7MDH, and just carry whatever you need when you need it.. it's better to have extra space than adding extra bags/modules. The extra spaces will be there when you need it or as you add more gears. At least that's what I think; more economical that way too.

Yes, but if you dont always need the space, like in the OPs situation, and you want a smaller bag to carry around, the addon bags are very nice and the crumpler addon system works well.

I did consider the larger one but have a tendency of doing that then regretting it. I'm only 5'2" and really want a bag that I'll take with me. I use a Pelican 1510 when I travel since I can pack stuff on it and yet still have access to most of my gear. Unfortunately, if I were to take that on my Ireland trip I'd have to forego any clothes. Hmmm.
I know there isn't a perfect bag for me (the proof is sitting on shelves in front of me) but I do like the idea of being able to carry the main things in a bag and then add or subtract things depending on the situation.
That being said, I do appreciate the ideas and did give it some more thought. This isn't going to replace the pelican as my main storage so I think I'll still stick with the 6MDH more because I think the 7 is just too big for a shorty like me.

As for the Bundle size to purchase. No one commented on that. I did some more looking around and saw a Large on the 6MDH and it didn't look too big so maybe I should go with that for now and then I can always add another one or the Med to the other side when necessary.

I bought a baby scarer real cheap off of ebay - I can fit 2 spare batteries and a 36mm Ext tube in it OR cleaning supplies (lens pen, sm brush, lens cloths and liquid cleaner). It really isn't that big and the extra front pocket is kind of useless on that particular bag.

I should sell a bag or two to finance the purchase of the Crumpler. Isn't that always the way??

Getting ready to purchase this week. Can anyone tell me if they use the Bundle large to store lenses? I was hoping my Canon 100mm macro or my Sigma 10-20mm might fit when I need to bring an additional lens with me. Anyone know?? Or is it too small??

You'll need a large. Check my thread on pretty much all things Crumpler. I even did a review of the Bundle large.

Finally decided on the 6MDH and a Large Bundle. Should be arriving today!! Then comes the fun and frustration - setting the dividers up for multi-purpose setups. Will post some pics of the different setups I end up with. I know the others that were posted helped me to determine to right size!

Thanks again!!
