You have to reverse the meaning of the phrase for geese. My uncle had one as a "guard dog"- not a pleasant animal. He would latch on to whatever he could grab and beat the hell out of you with his wings.

That's an excellent shot, Jeff ... nicely done.

Geese are mean and aggressive. Last year a coworker had one charge him and then take flight ... directly at his head. He literally had to push it away ... it wasn't a fake charge.
