The light is all of these is nice and warm.

I don't quite like the poses as they look slightly unnatural and obviously posed.

The last one id my favorite while the second is my least favorite due to the unflattering angle.

Clone out the pole in the last one as it looks like its coming out of her body.

They are ok-- nothing special. I would suggest that for the "build" of this bride that you take her photo from a higher angle.

Thanks for the replies, I was trying some different angles. How do you like this one.

How do you normally go about taking your bridals??

That last shot is the best of the bunch. Why f/13, 1/40th though? You could make them all look less snapshotty by opening up your aperture.

I also think the last one is the best.

And also wonder why f/13? At 1/40 you're pushing it when it comes to camera shake.

I would shoot wide open.

I do not mean to be funny (typically I am) but I have been taking baby photos the last week and the last photo with the shaded shoulder first looked to me like a baby pose where they are on their stomach with naked butt. (maybe I have been shooting too many babies)

Scott good thing we don't see her butt, she would not appreciate that.

I need to shoot more wide open, I am always afraid of not getting her face in focus when I shoot at f4 and lower. Her wedding is Sat. so I will do some wide open shots or have my assistant work that angle.;)

There's no fear of that as long as you choose your focus point and avoid focus-recompose.

Barbara, it seems that these images should be sharper. I played with the last image with sharpening, it came out really well. You don't have "image editing ok" on your name so I didn't post it.

Barbara- mostly I see the lack of contrast in these images. I think a small S curve might be the quickest way to make these pop. Also id use something like the gFUNK Socal PUNCH presets if your using Lightroom. Maybe even something from the Milk series. http://www.digitalweddingpro.com

Other than that I see issues with focal length choice. We have to remember that certain lenses are not as flattering to certain body types.

cheers,

Thanks Gino, I was using the 24-105 and lately have been nervous to change lenses outside, been having problem with dust on the sensor.
