large family photo shoot ideas?

I have a large (20) family photo shoot coming up this weekend. I have a few ideas, but I am looking for some more. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!! BTW we are shooting outside at the family farm (i have not been there yet, but i am guessing barn, old house, etc...)

Also, one idea i had was a panorama of the family in a straight line. anyone done one and any tips?

I'd tackle these much like wedding group shots.
everyone in a line..... couples/families in groups but staggered
grandma/grandpa in front focused, and rest of the family in background blurred.....

i always get an 'awwwwwww" out of that shot.
