Found this site. Ordered the CF mem card adapter. Wanted something smaller than a 80 GB external hard drive to move files between my desk top and lap top PC. I have several 1 gig and 2 gig CF mem cards. Now at least one not in use in the camera is being used elswhere. Works GREAT!! the price isn't bad eighter!

What's wrong with using the card reader you've been using to upload images from the card to the computer? They should work just as well, shouldn't they? That's what I do all the time when transferring files between my laptop and the desktop. :)

I have my card reader cable routed through some guides to keep it off the floor. This gadget is small enough to put in your pocket, (about the size of a cigarett lighter) and I keep a spare mem card in it. Just easy to use.

OK, that explains it and, in that case, I have to agree with you. Sounds like a very good idea. :)
