Hi there

I'm wondering what other pro wedding photographers are using. I have used ProShow Gold for the last three years and have not been totally happy with it. Mainly because whilst I can get a quality Television playback, I can't get a good playback on a computer, (which is what a lot people want).

Anyhow - I am after something fairly easy to use. Typically I have a simple setup, three background tracks with photos going for three seconds each with no fancy transitions - just a fade to over 2-3 seconds. This is fine and what people like.

Quiet possibly I might have to stick with PS Gold. Would be very interested to hear what you people out there are using.

thanks

Damian

DVD Photo Slideshow Professional might be one to consider - I've used it a few times with good results for large format LCDs and computer monitors.

I don't often shoot weddings but have produced wedding slideshows. Also, shows for other occasions and events. Photodex ProShow Producer works for me. There is a Gold version that's not as robust and somewhat less expensive too. You can download trial versions of most programs that will be suggested in response to your question and see which best fits your needs.

Greetings Damian,

I personally use ProShow Producer. I am at work right now so I cannot check my Producer's settings but I thought there was a setting that allows you to change the resolution rendering. In a nutshell, if Gold has this setting, try matching its rendering resolution with your monitor's resolution. If this doesn't do the trick, try this site: http://www.proshowenthusiasts.com

Lots of very helpful forum members.:D

Peace,
Yanis :D

Another thing. Make sure you have the lastest version of PS Gold installed and I would suggest using Taiyo Yuden premium or Verbatim DVD's to burn the shows. I personally won't use any other brand of CD/DVD media.

I have used Photodex Pro Show Producer for the last year with good results. Gold seemed really limited so I went for the producer for more transitions and other tools.
