Where can I find a comparison between the two lenses? I own the 28-70 already, and I am considering the 24-70.

I don't know of a comparison yet but I am looking myself. I need a good lense and the 24-70 would be perfect. Canon's site says that it is better lense than the 28-70 with quite a few improvements.
Good luck. If I find anything I will make a post.

Try DPReview at; http://photographyreview.com/reviewscrx.aspx
They have owners reviews of probably every lens available, including the two you want. You can submit your own reviews as well.

I'll put it this way. I was reluctant as all getout to let my 28-70 2.8L go, as frankly of all the L lenses I have it spent more time on my 1D than any other. With that said I received a new copy of the 24-70 2.8L with the full understanding that if when tested it did not meet my standards it would be returned. Well, not only did it not get returned, but I was actually pleasantly surprised at the differences. The 24-70L had the following advantages.
* Better macro and closup performance
* Better performance at the edges at apertures below
F5.6
* Less flare when in difficult lighting situations
* Superior body build with a tighter overall feel and of
course the weather sealing the older model lacks
* I never thought it possible but even FASTER autofocus
lock in low light
With that said I am very pleased I made the move, although I had my doubts. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you do the same.
