Marquee Wedding ...question

I have a wedding this weekend, and the reception will be in a Marquee with a silky white draped lining on the ceiling. My question is ...can I use bounce flash from this lining or will the flash be absorbed by the lining.?

I have never bounced flash from anything other than a hard surface before. Naturally I will test this on the day...but was just wondering if anyone else had any input for me. Thanks Val

Yes but I think it eats more light than an opaque surface. I shot in a similar environment a few weeks ago.

It worked a treat.....I did have the flash comp up a bit more than usual.... I am very happy with the results.
