Rather than my usual RAW>JPEG with a bbit of sharpening, i've converted these to TiFF files first...

1. The gorgeous Chad Racing Ferrari - yes this IS the UK and it really was that sunny!

2. Racing's in the DNA - Josh Hill, son of Damon and Grandson of the late, great Graham.

3. And a slightly less sunny shot of the Ascari KZ1R - cos i likes the car!

1 & 2 are 50D & Sigma 500EX f4.5 affairs. 3 is the same lens on the 1DMK2N. :)

I must have been stood very close to you for #1 and #2, I've got a few Saturday shots from down there on Saturday. Lovely shots, all sharp and well composed. The Chad Ferrari is a lovely car, arguably the best looking Ferrari on the grid this year.

It's a good question...

If you want a purely technical answer, then i haven't got a clue!....they just seem to look a hell of a lot better. All i can say is give it a try and see for yourself.

I will say it's not something i will be doing as a matter of course, because the sheer amount of hard disc space needed for a Tiff File is a bit silly.
