You all made me feel so left out I had to buy a 50mm 1.8 :D I have a few lenses I am trying to convince my wife we need to have but this one was effortless. I'll post some pics when I get it so I can be in the club too!

I think I am going to get the 17 - 40 L and then the 85mm 1.8. By then I'll probably be ready to upgrade my body. I have to get everything "approved" so it takes a while ;)

Spoken by either a single person, or a married one with separate finances!

Nope neither one. I manage our money and make 80% of it.

Well I make 110% of the money in my house and still have to get purchases "Approved" LOL. Made the mistake last week of bidding on a new 420ex on ebay and won for $150. That was a fun explination!! Wasnt so bad before the KIDS.

Now to explain the 110%. My wife is in college so I consider her tuition negative income. THANK THE HEAVENS SHE GRADUATES THIS SUMMER AND WILL ENTER THE WORK FORCE. Until then I will probably sell my truck and put some of that into a 20d and lenses.

I'm with you lost... My wife works but she spends more than she makes so I figure I am around 110% of the income as well :D The best marriage advice I ever recieved was to keep seperate checking accounts! We never argue about money. When it comes to buying things for my hobbies though it does take some explaining. Oh, and yes, it was soooo different before the kids!

Yeah kids are so darn....EXPENSIVE. LOL, love my 2 little critters to death. Only drawback is that you can mount them on a 20D. They are quite cute in front of it however. I was just put on double secret probation from spending more $$$ on cam gear. She said something about a miss lorena bobbitt?
