Yes I've seen this too ! :)
Well, in my opinion, for the composition, I would take a lower angle, from about 0,5 meters above the ground. Then, I would play a little with the DOF (thing that I can't do unfortunatelly with my camera :) ) to blur a little flowers from the back. And then a crop to remove the trees in the back.
That way it would look like a flower field.
After that same basic photoshot touches. (this one is a little dark too).
But hey, this is just my opinion. Remember that ! ;)

Hollow,
I'm pretty sure you can influence with DOF with your A95. I purchased an A85 for parents, and I was duly impressed with the power offered by this camera. For instance, my father was getting blurry shots the kids, and I quickly found Tv mode, set it to 250, and told shoot away. Viola! Tack sharp. I knw it has an Av mode. Try it out, show us what you get.

:) DOF in sense of "narrow" DOF :). Unfortunatelly A95 have this only in macro photography. In rest is pretty wide.

I'll spend a little more time with my parents' camera, maybe I can come up with some "use it the wrong way" solutions and present them here.

I like the idea of crop for the feel of a flower field.

I have my A85 for about 4500 shots now, and I'm getting more and more impressed everyday. It really gives sharp images and some control to the DOF. Ofcourse, it's not like a dSLR, but oh well, for a P&S camera it's pretty good.
As for the shot, Lioness, I agree with hollow - a lower angle will do the trick.
