Hey guys,
I'm looking for a bag that will hold my current gripped 400d + 100-400 with hood in shooting position. Also, I intend to buy an additional xxD body later this year.
It seems that the digital holster 50 will be perfect in size for a gripped xxD body, but how will my 400D fit? Will it be too loose? Does anybody have experience with using this combination?
DAMN, too much gear! :p

It won't be loose in there.

thanks for you reply :)
I notice you have the Holster 50, but not a smaller body. Did you ever put one in? Anyone else maybe? Pics would be great if possible.

I ordered 2 of these yesterday but won't have them for a week. I'll report back then, assuming they come in as stated by the store clerk.

If I unzip the end of my 50, a gripped 20D or 40D with a 28-300mm L will fit inside with the hood attached, ready to shoot. It gives you about an inch, maybe a bit more, of space at the back of the body, so you can put the sift flap down over the body and lay the camera strap on top of the flap. If you have the tripod foot on the lens you will need to loosen it and turn it at an angle so the kit will slide into the case. if you leave the foot in the ready position it won't slide into the case too good.
My Bigmos and a gripped body will fit into the holster, but not with the hood ready to shoot. I have to reverse the hood.
A smaller body wouldn't be a problem, but that would depend on how much smaller the body was. If I take the grip of one of my bodies and put it in, there's a lot of lateral space, and while I don't think it would be a problem since the lens would keep it from wiggling too much, you might not have a lot of protection from bangs and such. I don't know because i don't take my grips off, and the Bigmos with a gripped body fits so snug that there's no room to spare.

Well, I finally decided to order it yesterday and received it already today :D
I'll probably use it next week for the first time, when I need to use both my 350d+kitlens+430 and my 400d+100-400.
The fact that I don't have to reverse the lens hood everytime I don't have hands enough to hold the 100-400 is going to save me a lot of time and wear on the lens(hood).

Mine are on back order, which is why I haven't added any info.

That's a pity :(
I checked a lot of online shops and ordered at a site that said it was in stock :)
I just put my camera in for the first time and the lens hood is really tight in the holster. In fact it is so tight that I can not get the lens+body in with the rain cover inserted as well
Perhaps I can fold it a bit more space efficient, but I doubt my 100-400 lens hood and the rain cover will marry soon in the holster :p
