Absolutely!!!

And I've got a friendly photo shop near me that prints for 3000 yen a throw! Mind if I adapt your ideas for me and my guitar?

If that's ok, how'd you do it?
:D

Hey,

Thanks for the comments :)

No prob with using the idea with a guitar; would poss work even better, although you would need to make sure that the guitar was perfectly still for the shots. I did it this way:

1. take 3 photos with the only thing changing being the position of the hands. I set the camera on a tripod and focused on the closest keys, the switched to manual focus so the focus wouldn't change. Then i took three different shots with my hands in different positions.

2. open up each of the shots in photoshop and split the chanels for each one, keeping one picture red, one green and one blue chanel.

3. then merge the chanels back together into one picture. The fixed image (piano) stays the same and you get a different colour for each of the hands.

If that doesn't make any sense let me know and I'll go into more detail!

Excellent! Thanks for that....I actually broke my 'A' string today, so it might work even better with the string dangling down. Will have a go once I can get a clamp or something to steady the guitar.....
