A shot of Crater Lake clouds. Bummer the water was so rough we couldn't see the clouds reflected very good. Love the clouds though, both in color and B&W.
Which is better? B&W or color... Comments welcome.

Beautiful! Love the depth and color in that light.
Ken, was this recent? If it is, it's quite a frightening shot. :( Usually Crater Lake is still impassible this time of year.

did you do any post processing?
Yes, ALL shots require post processing or they wouldn't be displayed on the website :)
So I think you mean: Did I do more than normal enhancement to the shot. Yes, I love most of my shots to come alive on the screen and have a lot of POP in them. This shot I just used a couple different layers/masks to bring it alive.
I don't much care for flat, ordinary photos.

i think the B&W makes those clouds look way more dramatic. They're both great but that B&W one has Ansel Adams written all over it ;)

You have some beautiful shots on your www ... I really like the fruit basket and the fall shot of the winding road with the golden leaves falling. Very beautiful work you do. Thank you again.

Very nice. I like the black and white. The color almost looks over-processed. I'm not a fan of photos that don't look natural. To me there's a "wow" point but sometimes there is too much "wow"

COLOr!! OR if i were british COLOUR!!
Since youre willing to do huge photoshoping
Bring out that shadowed tree on the right there
The shadow doesnt appear natural anyway as you cant see the object in the frame
The b&w one has too little contrast/ a lil dark... check histogram and maybe trying a more creative way to monochrome it that keeps better shades, like making the image B&W after making the color balance all red. Gets me better contrast w/ my B&W stuff
...Duotone sepia migt be nice too

Thanks Rich! I'll give that a try. If you have time, post a made over version of either one is welcome to show us. I say that in my signature line. Have at it :)

Both show different moods of the lake. I enjoy the B&W, but then again the color is killer as well. Great shot either way.
