My gear list is on my sig.
anyways, i'll be going out to grand canyon this coming summer, and i would need a bag to carry, but not too flashy of screaming "camera bag"
so it looks like crumpler is my choice.
But here is my dilemma.
First one is 7 Million dollar Home ($100, old version)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000W8U3ZC/ref=cm_cmu_pg__header
Second one is 6 Million dollar Home ($110, new version)
http://www.amazon.com/Crumpler-Million-Dollar-Photo-Orange/dp/B001TINMIO/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1239828630&sr=8-1
I would go with either one, but it (6MDH) has those two buckle seem like it can carry tripod, so it's more practical. But 7 Million dollar home can carry more room for more equipment to grow, and also able to carry laptops.
what you guys think?

you kind of already sound decided on the 7MDH because you want to carry your laptop and need room to grow.
If you're only taking the camera, lenses and accessories, the 6MDH would be your best bet. I have that one and it holds my 30D with tamron 28-75 lens attached, additonally:
my 580 EX or 70-300 sigma
10-20 sigma (it's kinda fat)
50mm 1.4
battery charger
cleaning cloths/small cables/memory cards
So, it holds a pretty good bit of equipment. I could probably stuff the flash and the 70-300 if I needed to, but would likely need to leave out something else.

I think all these shoulder bags look exactly like camera bags, not at all like a messenger bag. The only ones that don't have no logos jumping out. The Crumpler does, by the way.
I would choose a bag like the Think Tank or some of the Lowepro series which are very understated and offer more protection for camera parts than the Crumplers. That's only MHO.
But if you like Crumpler for design reasons, there are plenty here who have and like them.

Crumplers are almost unbelievably well padded - I can't quite understand the justification for saying that Think Tank and Lowepro offer "more protection" than Crumplers. (I own and use a variety of Crumplers, ThinkTanks and LowePros, so I am reasonably certain of this.)
That said, I would tend to agree that ThinkTank and Lowepro may offer a somewhat more discrete appearance - certainly compared to a rainbow-coloured Crumpler (though Crumplers do come in Black/Gunmetal/Brown combinations that are fairly sombre).
I use the ThinkTank Urban Disguise 60 and the Crumpler 7MDH regularly - TTUD60 for "getting from a to b" with up to a 17" laptop and loads of gear, the 7MDH (old version) for shooting out of. The 7MDH doesn't natively fit a laptop, but forum member Aravena has posted a thread on how to reconfigure the 7MDH to carry a laptop. The 7MDH is comfortable and gives you plenty of room to grow. If you'd like to check out the smaller ThinkTanks (UD50 for 15" laptop, and others) and LowePro, have a look at the bag reviews sticky thread at the top of this subforum - loads of info there, and you'll also find Aravenas Crumpler reviews (or a link to them in his signature).
Best of luck deciding - it can be a hard business, I know, which is why I've ended up with so many bags. ;)

I was looking for a discrete camera bag as well and ended up going with the old style Crumpler 7MDH in black/oatmeal/gunmetal. I preferred the one buckle and the oatmeal to the bright green of the new style.
I actually think it does look like a messenger bag and does not scream camera bag- and, other than a couple relatively small crumpler logos, it is does not have lots of markings. In fact, before I got into the digital SLR thing about a year ago, I always saw Lowepro bags and thought they stood out as camera bags and didn't even realize that the Crumpler bags I was seeing were camera bags.
As for the 6MDH vs. the 7MDH, when I was comparing them, I didn't find the 6MDH to be that much smaller and am happy I went with the 7MDH. If you are worried about carrying a tripod and think the two clip system would help, why not go with the new style 7MDH -- there was a member here (Jeev) selling new ones at great prices.
Another brand you might want to look at is Domke-- they generally don't scream "Camera Bag" to me-- and I picked up a small F-5Xb for carrying around just the bare minimum.

Thanks, that helped me to make a decision.
I went with 6MDH (new version). since i don't have lot of equipment to carry in the bag, 6MDH justified it. And plus i got the brown/orange with industry disgrace strap (brown). Once i get it, i will be sure to post it up.
