great blue heron in flight

i know the background is busy, but i was really happy to catch an in flight picture of one of these birds.

thanks maureen, i know from the past that these birds are extremely skiddish.i was a good 100 plus feet away,and i was making him nervous. so i got the focus set and just raised my left arm up in the air and he took off right on cue.

I scared one away yesterday that was 150 meters across the river just by pointing my camera at him.

thanks tupe,last year i tried getting one of these with the 28-135.no way was they going to let me close enough for that lens to be of use.
