I went to the zoo (again) with my daughter and took the new 780. I took my first video with it and figured someone might want to see it. Nothing artsy, just some flamingos arguing ;) Unfortunately, photobucket does something to the video so it seems really grainy. On my laptop and HDTV it's much better when run with Zoom Browser (Canon's included software). I'm attaching a screen grab from the video which is a bit clearer and should give you a better idea of what the video looks like. I think it's a bit cleaner when the video is viewed, but whatever.
Here's the link to the video

So, I don't think we're going to sell our HD camcorder. But, the size of the 780 means we'll have it with us all the time and we won't miss video opportunities so it's worth it to us.

Edit: Just watched the photobucket video again - it is really terrible if you full-screen it. I guess they compress it. Oh well, it's free ;)
