This is a pic of my wife's cousin and her date for prom. C & C please..
btw, the skin tone looks a whole lot warmer in ps. I'm not sure why its different.

Is that a couple? They don`t really look like they are together...Watch for your background and may be use a more shallow DOF for a nice bokeh and to make the background less distracting.

Svetlana is right, but the highlights are what is bothering me the most. The couple is a bit bright. You might also want to call their names next time and get them both to look at you at the same time.

thank you! thank you! I tired cloning out the car but no luck with my lack of ps knowledge. I'll give it another shot.
What do you mean by highlights books64? How should i go about changing it?
Thanks!

Cloning is the quick method .... but the other members are suggesting you to think about the entire picture you are about to take....
There is your subject - the couple .....
how do they look, are they looking at you, are they smiling, do they have something in there teeth?
Exposure of the couple.... which books64 is referring to. By exposing the image so bright - it washes the clothing detail out.
then there is the background..... do you want to see it w/ detail or do you want it blurred?
What focuses the attention on the couple..... blurred background.
can i chose a different angle?
or move the couple slightly to get a better backgroundYou start 'seeing' pictures this way - you will do less pp (unless intentional).
We all can snap pictures .... it creating a cool image that takes practice.
Keep going ..... we are all doing the same thing-learning.... some of us are just farther down the path than others.
Later,
