Does the use of an accessory diopter correcter interfere with the camera's variable built-in correcter? I would think not, but am reluctant to assume anything.
My eyeglasses call for a minus 5.5, so am hoping that, without the glasses, a minus 3 diopter correcter and adjustment to the viewfinder to the tune of another 2.5 will allow me to see clearly.
Thanks

I would bet your eye doctor would be glad to answer that question correctly and without charge. With all due respect to the forum members, I don't think I would ask any of them to prescribe glasses for me.

Thanks,
No...of course I was not asking anyone on the forum to prescribe anything. Maybe my question wasn't clearly stated.
I was just looking for confirmation that the addition of a Canon accessory diopter correcter did not affect the workings of the variable viewfinder diopter correction on the camera.

No, it shouldn't. But take a look here (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=41396) for possible complications (not the same situation, but as an advisory).
