lens case size for 70-200 f/4

just got my 70-200 f/4.

I was planning to buy the lowepro lens case 2, but after storing the hood in reverse position I'm afraid the lens requires the 3 case, which I don''t like because it's much wider.

Any alternatives or is size 3 the only way to go?

What do you need a case for? Just get a padded bag or backpack and store it in there.

I have another question. Does the Canon lens case fit the 70-200 f/4 with a tripod collar?

Also what's the latest price of the tripod collar for the lens?

The 70-200 F4L fits in the Lowepro Lens Case 2 with the Hood reversed just fine.
