Well I just purchased the 20D

With all of the coupons and rebates I think it will be around $1000 and that is the body only kit with 256MB card. It will probably be cheaper next week but mean
while I will have a great camera. I just hope it is not too advanced for me.

Sadly here in the UK, the very cheapest of the cheap for the 20D is ~£920....which is about $1740!!! :-(

Yes I got it from Dell and I used the account they have to get an extra 10% plus I have the $100 rebate from Canon and a $50.00 rebate from Epson thanks to a printer I purchased a few weeks ago. I just hope I know how to use it LOL!
From everything I reviewed it is the best one in that price range. Thanks to all of
you for helping me. The lens that I have will have to do for a white. I have a 50MM
and 28-80 and 70-300 that I used with my Rebel film camera. I hope those are
good enough for the time being. I will read the lens thread when I have some more $$$

yeah, man this forum should come with a consumer warning, all this talk about L lens this and L lens that plus all those damn good pictures...its enough to drive us all to sell our kidneys (its a figure of speech) to get that awesome glass.

Same here. I already decided to postpone having kid now. So that i can use the kid's college fund for camera upgrades, and L lenses. :lol: just j/k.
