Hey guys i have had my SD1000 for almost 2 yrs now and last week i took a picture with it and the battery was supposedly low and it started acting weird so i poped the battery in the charger, waited for the charger to say it was done charging and when i put the battery back in it refuses to show any life what so ever... no power light, no screen flicker lens doesnt come out nothing... its almost like the battery has gone bad but i dont think its gone through that many charging cycles... so what gives? is there anyway to hard reset it?

I would also say new battery pack time.
If you can't source a new Canon pack, try sourcing a Hähnel HL-4LHP replacement.

I'd check to see the voltage and find out if the battery is truly dead, before I spent money on a new battery!

the socket you were charging on was not connected to a wall switch that got turned off ?
