Here's my first picture post on the board. It was taken with a dReb (1/2500s f/8.0 at 300.0mm iso400 w/ the 75-300 USM lens)

The rest of the images I have on pbase are here (http://www.pbase.com/apratt)

Darn, I was expecting to see a package in the market like, ground beef. LOLOverheard by myself and witnesses in the West (I am not making this up!) Bloomfield Post Office (which was actually a trailer): "Try and I try, but I just can't get the woman to eat no squirrel!" To which his friend replied, "That's a shame, there ain't nuthin like good sqirrel."
Well I've tried it, and he was right, nothing like it. Never again.

I've eaten many things but not squirrel...thankfully :)

Considering how much people complain about how soft the 75-300 lense is I've been fairly happy with the results. I'd love a Bigma for the bird shots but for now this will have to do.

EDIT: Nice job, BTW.

Very nice shot, Andrew! Sharp, nicely focused and composed - excellent DOF.

Ground squirrel ... package in the market :) I didn't get it at first - that's pretty funny, Dante!

Squirrels are quite tasty, actually ... don't knock it till you try it.

I'll bet there is a better way to make it. Stewed, maybe? Sorry, we're going to turn some people off...better tune to the cooking forums...
