Organizing Digital Photos for years to come. . .

I'M hoping to gain some of your expertise with this organization question I have. . .

I have a Canon A40 Digital camera and am very happy with the quality of pictures. I also just purchases an Epson Photo 825 printer and am extremely satisfied with the incredible photo print outs that I am getting.

My question is, I only print out some of my photos, but would like to some how organize the reamining digital photos on my computer and write to CD-Rom. I would like to somehow create a "digital" photo album with captions, etc. and then create a CD that is readable in most new DVDs that hook up to the television. Has anyone done this? What programs do you need to do this with?

Thank you for the suggestion, I actually have downloaded the demo and think it is really good and plan on purchasing the full version.
