ok so I just checked it out. Here is my humble opinion...
1- its pretty I like the colors and the theme
2- I think the home page should have some pictures on it...or change they layout.the block of writing just looks ugly.
3- I looked at your portfolio(correct me if I am wrong), but there were only 9 pictures or so. They were also mixed together. I would separate the categories into different galleries.
3- I would seriously consider adding music...with a fun sweet page like yours it would make the experience so much better:)
okay and I loved the sweet pics with the baby and the hat..

Thanks very much for your input...
Portfolio: I haven't gotten around to organizing it yet, but I will get on that. Thanks
Homepage: Thought about that too, it's really boring but I'm not sure what pictures to put on there.
Music: I'm not sure where to get music that I won't get in trouble for using.
Does the logo look funny(The flowers in the top left)? I can't decide if I like that or not yet.

With the portfolio you will be adding a lot more pictures, correct?
Homepage- I like the flowers.. Even if you just put up one of those sweet pics with the lilac hat(it matches) in the top right corner of the text. Something to jazz it up..the layout of the text will help tremendously.
music- That is something I have been wondering myself recently...but people do it frequently..I would post that ? in a different thread. I just think music with pictures makes the pictures even better than they already are:)

When I view it with IE8, everything (text and the port photos) spills out of the white area. It's a browser window resizing issue.

yeah, others are telling me that too... not sure how to fix it.
Maybe I'll have to scratch the whole thing and do it in tables... or something.
P.s. the font is Windsong... it's a commercial free font I got off of fontsquirrel.com

Don't, Don't, Please Don't use tables! Tables are not not for layouts. They are for tabular data. Learn the CSS box model and div layers.
Since all I can see at the moment is a image map I can't advise a layout.

Faolan, I take it you don't want me to use tables?? ;)
I had it using CSS and mostly div layers before, but I don't know how to make everything resize with the browser and different screen resolutions.
I'm about to read the website link you have at the bottom of your signature.
Here is the page I had before, I saved it as another page so I could come back to it later and try and figure it out: Original page (http://members.shaw.ca/jessi.brown/jbpindex.html)

If you market is women, families (kids/babies etc.), florists... it seems pretty good.
First impression: YOU'RE A GIRL! :p (sounds like I'm joking, but this was the first thing I thought).
It definitely has a feminine touch which may suit you very much (depending on your clients/subject matter).
Nice, but as a manly man with muscles on my muscles and pure testosterone instead of blood coursing through my body... seems a bit sissy to me.

Personally speaking, I very much dislike music on websites. It comes on (often in the background, because I have multiple sites open at once) and I don't know where it's coming from... if I'm browsing at work or in a library or something, I have to quit pretty quick. If it is an option, IMHO it should be OFF by default. :)

hahaahha florists, good call.
Yes I very much agree about the music actually. If a page has music, I usually just go to a different site.
I think I'm going to rework the whole layout, "macho" it up a bit for all of you "manly men with testosterone instead of blood..."
Will post the update
Thanks

Just black with white writing is all a manly man like me would ever need.
No need for many pictures too. Just one of Chuck Norris would be enough to make it manly enough for anyone (apart from for Chuck Norris, compared to him, everything is flowers and fairies). ;)

Better IMHO.
Nice picture too. Perhaps it would have been better if you took it in a mirror... you know, with the camera up your eye. NOBODY DOES THAT!!!111
It should be good once it's done. It's still has the feminine touch, without going OTT. Nice.
I might have to "borrow" some ideas.......... heh heh (except mine won't have flowers... maybe some tanks/muscle cars/guns and other manly stuff like... chickens??).

I want to know which program you're using to do it. I am not the worlds best at web stuff (I concentrate on video/animation but web slipped by skill set) That site looks pretty well done.
