300D Vs. 10d

With the going prices on ebay for a used 10d are there any reasons to own a DRebel over a 10d? If you try hard you can get a 10d for about the same price as a DRebel.

I was thinking of trying to "upgrade" to a 10d for very little money. Is this a bad idea?

The only downside (??) is, what will you use instead of the kit lens? A hacksaw or a new lens? 17-40L is nice, but the 10d isn't so cheap any more.

You might get a good deal, if you can get a good price for the 300d. I wish you well.
