I bought one of these. works great, only problem is grid spills light out of the sides of
beauty dish, and the sock is really tight, maybe an inch too small. the light is beautiful though, but what do you expect for $70.00.

solution to to light spillage is to use gaffers tape around the grid and rim of beauty dish,
but will tend to get warm if you use your modeling light for prolonged use.

hope this helps!

Thanks Rich. Do you know off hand what the lighting angle of the grid is or did I miss that in the product listing?

Don,

Its not on the listing, but I believe its 20 or 30 degree grid(compared to my reflector grids), but nor 100% positive.

Great info! I've purchased things from this seller too and similar results. Corner cutting but "you get what you pay for" decent items. Nothing outstanding but not total junk either. Customer service is really good though.

BTW..any pictures in your portfolio that were done with this beauty dish?

Did some recent stuff, but on the port, its a mixture of speedlites, and studio lights.
